Our Marina suite, dedicated to the great Marina Tsvetaeva, benefits from a double exposure on the park and the pasture. Decorated in a colorful yet sober style, spacious and bright, the suite opens onto a bathroom equipped with a bathtub and the last bidet of the castle!
The great poverty that Marina experienced contrasts with the wealth of the room that bears her name. It should be seen as a desire for reparation, a post-mortem gift to a diagonal sister. We would have liked to offer her this room, as a “room of one’s own”.

History
Marina Tsvetaeva: the poetry of passion
Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva was a Russian poet, born on September 26, 1892 in Moscow and died on August 31, 1941 in Yelabuga. Tsvetaeva was one of the most original Russian-language poetesses of the 20th century. Her work was rejected by Stalin and the Soviet regime. Her first collection, “The Evening Album”, was published when she was only 18 years old.
She had a long epistolary love affair with Boris Pasternak and a fascinating correspondence with Rilke.
In 1912, she married Sergei Efron who gave her three children. After the revolution her husband joined the White Army troops. Marina returned to Moscow where she was stuck for five years. She had to endure the terrible deprivations of those years, in 1920 her daughter died of hunger.

The decoration of the Marina suite is distinguished by a range of blues and its soothing atmosphere, reflecting depth and serenity. The windows offer breathtaking views of the castle gardens, promising enchanted awakenings by the surrounding nature and a breathtaking sunrise. In a 1900s style, its space is equipped with elegant furniture, including a large double bed, a small lounge with sofa and two armchairs, a tea and coffee service, as well as a small desk. Bed and bath linen ensure high quality comfort.
