While waiting for the Bal du Bas Bleu in May, immerse yourself now in the poetic and legendary world of the Baie de Somme with this unique event at Château Le Bas Bleu.
Between live performance and documentary screening, let yourself be carried away by stories where reality and imagination intertwine, and where each wave, each breath of wind, whispers a secret from yesteryear.
On the program: two captivating experiences
“Sand and Water” Show
Dive into a waking dream where the Bay of Somme becomes the scene of legendary stories.
Discover the birth of Salicornia, follow the journey of a courageous young glassmaker or embark with a fisherman in search of adventure. This show for all audiences from 8 years old will take you from Saint-Valery-sur-Somme to Le Hourdel, via Le Crotoy, to the rhythm of the waves and the songs of the Bay.

Screening of the documentary “SOMME II, a legendary ship…”
Embark on a 52-minute journey through time on the waters of the SOMME II, the former buoy tender of the Bay. Meet its sailors, fishermen and those who have crossed paths with this emblematic ship, through authentic stories punctuated with colorful anecdotes.

A cultural afternoon at Château Le Bas Bleu
Course of the day
- 2 p.m.: First choice between the open-air show (or indoors depending on the weather) and the screening in the castle theater.
- 3 p.m.-4 p.m.: Friendly break with refreshments on the terrace.
- 4 p.m.: Second session to find out what you missed in the first part.
- 5 p.m.: Warm discussions over a drink in the castle.
